For at least a while, during construction and while I'm working on the interior, I'm going to have to have a place to hang my hat while I'm on-site. So we're constructing an RV pad, which will also be useful later on as I try to induce friends and family to come visit.
Well, it's not much to look at, yet, but here's the septic connection for the RV pad. The buried pipe runs a couple of hundred feet slightly downhill to the tank we buried a while ago.
In keeping with my general philosophy that
"all the comforts of home"
is a minimum requirement, not a sufficient condition,
phone service will be provided to the RV pad as well as to the
observatory. Here is the culmination of my efforts in battling
the well-entrenched, highly confused bureaucracy that is a telephone
company. Can't wait to start fighting with them to get high-speed
Internet service.
